Every year Scrapbasket Quilt Guild members make hundreds of twin- and lap-sized quilts for children. These are gifted to area hospitals, homeless shelters, police and fire departments. Many are given during emergencies like tornadoes and floods. The look on the face of a child when they get to pick out their very own quilt is worth every stitch.
You don’t have to even start from scratch. The Guild puts together kits that you can take home and assemble. Pre-stitched tops are often available for you to take home to quilt. Quilted tops are available for binding and labels that can easily be added while you’re listening to one of our monthly speakers.
